08/09/1952 to 08/05/2026
Ann Marie (Saikin) Previtali, 73, of Sound Beach, NY, passed away peacefully on 08/05/2026 with her loving husband, Alan, by her side.
It was love at first sight in 1967 when Ann Marie, aka “Tootie”, first saw Alan, the cute boy who lived next to her parents’ new home in Miller Place. They married in 1972 and after Alan’s service in the U.S. Navy, settled in Sound Beach to raise their two daughters.
When not working in a pediatric medical office tending to babies and children, which gave her great joy, Ann Marie loved to host friends and family at her charming home. Whether it be for holidays and birthday celebrations inside or barbeques/pool parties in her lovely back yard, many people enjoyed her gracious hospitality. She took great pride in her gardens, and the flowers she lovingly cared for will now serve as a gentle reminder to all that her beautiful spirit still surrounds them.
Ann Marie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alan Previtali; her daughters, Amy (Kipp) Henkin and Gina Previtali; her grandchildren, Kipp Henkin, Jr., Avary Henkin, Ellise Henkin and Makayla Caraballo; her mother, Mary Y. Saikin and her siblings David (Mary) Saikin, Alan (Cathy) Saikin and Kathleen (Charles) Lang.
She was predeceased by her father, Ralph G. Saikin.
Ann Marie will be cherished forever by those who love her.
