

Born and raised in Staten Island, Barbara carried a lifelong love for her hometown and community. She began her teaching career in Staten Island where she also earned her Master’s degree from Wagner College. Her entire career was devoted to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher where she demonstrated care and dedication in every classroom she taught. After she moved to Long Island, she continue her passion for education in the Rocky Point and Miller Place School Districts.
Barbara shared a beautiful, joy-filled marriage with her beloved husband, Stanley. Together, they built a loving home filled with music, creativity, and strong family bonds. A gifted pianist since childhood, Barbara found joy in performing at recitals and sharing her love of music with others. She was also a talented artist and active member of the Homemakers Club, where she connected with others through her passion for arts and crafts.
Her hobbies reflected her warm and gentle spirit—she delighted in jigsaw puzzles, found great joy in the beauty of flowers, and most of all, treasured time spent with her family. Barbara’s heart was rooted in her loved ones, and she was happiest when surrounded by them.
Barbara is survived by her children, Karl (Danielle), Katie (Franko), and Eric; and her cherished grandchildren, Vivian, Stephen, Louise, and Karl. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Nancy (Laurence), Joanne (Mark), and Stephen (Theresa), along with many dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Anita.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. Interment will take place on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, 855 Canal Road, Mount Sinai, NY 11766.
Barbara will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
