Catherine Mylott Nauronis, age 78, of Miller Place, New York, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Catherine was a career nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, where her dedication to caring for others left a lasting impact on both patients and colleagues alike. Known for her compassion and nurturing spirit, she was a natural caregiver who found joy in helping others during their times of need.
Devoted to her family, Catherine cherished spending time with her sons, John Nauronis (Allyson), Christian Nauronis (Barbara), and James Nauronis, as well as her cherished grandchildren Shealyn, Ryleigh, Nevaeh, Bentley, and Aria. Her love and devotion to her family were evident in everything she did, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Catherine had a passion for the outdoors and found solace in her garden, where she spent many hours tending to her plants and flowers (even if she occasionally enlisted the help of her children). She had a love for music and storytelling, often sharing tales and creating memories with her family and friends.
Family vacations and BBQs held a special place in Catherine's heart, as they provided opportunities for her to create lasting memories with her loved ones. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including shopping on QVC, where she found joy in discovering new treasures.
A visitation to honor Catherine's life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes - Miller Place, located at 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St Louis de Montfort RC Church, situated at 75 New York Ave, Sound Beach, New York 11789. Following the mass, Catherine will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, located at 3442 Route 112, Coram, New York 11933.
Catherine's legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace, and may her memory continue to bring comfort and solace to all who knew and loved her.
