Catherine “Kittie” Passiglia, age 94, of Miller Place, passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2025. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Kittie lived a life full of warmth, love, and laughter.
Kittie is now reunited with the love of her life, her beloved husband Leonard, a proud WWII Army veteran, who passed away in 1986. Together again, they are surrounded by their dearly missed loved ones who passed before her—her siblings Mary and Jack, their children Joseph and Vicky, and their precious grandchildren Nicky and Rocky.
She is survived by her loving children Lenny (Judé), Donna (Tom), and daughter-in-law Christine. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Lindsey, Lenee, Jarred, Jesse, Renee, Bianca, and Joey, and her adored great-grandchildren Ella, Cooper, Mila, Colton, Jace, Levi, Brees, Rome, Asher, Ayla, Angelina, and Jacob. Her family would not be complete without the loyal love of the family fur babies, Henry and Lance, who will miss her gentle presence.
Kittie spent her working years as a talented seamstress, putting care and creativity into every stitch. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cooking delicious meals, especially her famous rice pudding and crumb cake, taking trips to the beach, and dancing to the sounds of Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé.
A bright light in her community, Kittie was an active and beloved member of the Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mt. Sinai, where she shared friendship, music, and laughter.
Catherine “Kittie” Passiglia touched countless lives with her kindness, her strength, and her generous spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
“The song may end, but the melody lingers on.”
