Charles was the beloved husband of Margaret Capell, with whom he shared 62 beautiful years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love, devotion, and family.
He was a proud and devoted father to Kenneth (Sheri), Steven (Susie), and Lori (Joe), and a cherished grandfather to Dan (Jess), Matt (Vicky), Zachary, Austin (Carrie), Jordyn, Alexa, and Connor. His joy only grew with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Gavin and Rylie, who brought him immense happiness. Charles is also survived by his dear sister Audrey (Eddie).
Charles enjoyed a successful career as an insurance agent, where he was known for his integrity and dedication. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard Infantry from 1959 to 1964.
A Bowling Green State University alumnus, Class of 1959, Charles was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and remained proud of his collegiate years throughout his life. He was also a proud member of the Sunrise Drum & Bugle Corps, an experience he held close to his heart.
In his free time, Charles enjoyed golfing, later working as a ranger on the golf course, fishing, and spending winters as a snowbird in Florida during retirement. Above all else, Charles loved spending time with his grandchildren, faithfully attending their school and sporting events, attending dance recitals and simply being present in their lives. He also delighted in shopping and spending time with his wife, sharing laughter and companionship wherever they went. A big Disney World fan, Charles embraced joy, fun, and family at every stage of life.
Charles will be remembered for his loving heart, unwavering devotion to his family, and the pride he took in every role he held—husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
