It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles A. Hund Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Charles departed this world on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Charlie was the devoted husband of Lorraine, his lifelong companion and soulmate. Together, they shared a journey filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for over 60 years. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love, bringing light and warmth to all who knew them.
As a father, Charlie was a source of strength and inspiration to his children, Kenneth Hund (Ginny), Denise (Michael), and Theresa (Randy). He instilled in them values of integrity, compassion, and resilience, guiding them through life's challenges with wisdom and grace.
Charlie's grandchildren, Lindsey, Sarah (John), and William, were the light of his life. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent in their company. His love for them knew no bounds, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of those he held most dear.
He was also blessed with the addition of Timothy (Riva) and Kevin as grandchildren, and great grandchildren Thurston and Joseph.
Charlie proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1950's, and then had a distinguished career as an electrical engineer and computer programmer. He was incredibly resourceful - he could repair most anything, whether it was electrical, plumbing, automotive, you name it. He was an avid photographer and also enjoyed bowling and golf.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at O. B.
