Back in 1993, I approached  the Casselberry Fire Department asking for help in submitting plans for a non-alcoholic, drug-free coffee house/nightclub for adults and families I was building from scratch in the strip plaza where Checkers was located. Dennis loved the idea and walked me through it every step of the way. Club Soda Central helped over 5000 people stay sober during its 10+ year run, and thousands of others discover a safe place to have fun.  None of this would have been possible had Dennis not believed in us. He retired soon after we officially opened. Thanks from all of us., Dennis.

On a personal note, I found out years later through Ancestry.com we may actually have had a common ancestor.  But we already knew we were family...

My deepest sympathy goes to The Anderson Family. Dennis Jr. was a tremendous fireman and it was an honor to work beside him. I respected him very much and always felt that my back was covered when Dennis was working.That kind of person is the product of a great Father. May his soul rest in peace.

I will never forget Mr. Anderson, he was my papa's best friend (Richard Turk). I loved hearing the stories when they were in the FDNY together. I remember him and Mrs. Anderson always visiting my Nanny (Rosemary) and taking her out to lunch.  He was the nicest man and it was a pleasure knowing him. He will be missed deeply.

I met Dennis during his employment at Casselberry FD and was honored to be involved in his replacement upon his retirement. He was a class act and represented the fire service admirably. RIP my friend!!!

7/9/14 - I met Dennis through his role at CFD in the late 80's. My favorite story about Dennis was when I arrived at a luncheon where local fire officials gathered monthly to eat and to share experiences.  The facility gave us a meeting room for free.  When arrived, I saw Dennis' city car but could not find him.  Ten minutes later or so, he enters carrying an arm full of code books.  When I asked where he'd been, he told me he was in the kitchen writing citations!  Imagine that?  What a guy!  Although we differed on many accounts, Dennis always had a basis for his posture in code enforcement.  I offer the condolences of myself and my wife who also worked along side Dennis.

I had the pleasure of working with Dennis my first 4 years with Casselberry Fire Department. I will never forget his smile and the expression that said "your an idiot" without making you feel like one. I always enjoyed seeing him and Helen on their walks and their shopping adventures at Publix.  
He was a wonderful man and a great Fireman.
May GOD bless the family as they go through this experience.
