I met Don Sipila in the late 80s when he joined Cub Scouts when my father was the Cubmaster. He was always quick with a joke and my brother Don and I always loved his one liners and comments on camping trips and in school. He never had a bad word for anyone. On behalf of the entire Powers family, we extend our deepest condolences to his family. He was one of a kind.

I met Donald when he was a toddler and both he and his mom had just returned to Rocky Point from Houston, TX. Donald was such a sweet, happy little boy, and his mom, Dawn (my very dear friend for over 50 years), was always close at hand. As he grew older he had a great, dry, sense of humor. As many often do, he had struggles in life. His soul is at peace now, and his family is in my prayers.

I first met Donald, Dawn and Joe when I lived on Magnolia Drive back in 1985. My son, Mike was on the bus with Donald. The boys would play together. I remember Dawn and Donald coming to bus stop, Dawn would be in her feet pajama’s with booty slippers and her Coffee.
Last time I saw Donald and Joe, my husband was having surgery at St. Charles and Joe and Donald offered to fix my husbands shoulder with their engineering tools.
Donald and his family are in my prayers.
