
﻿Dear Ralph and the Kaiser family,

I’m devastated to hear of your mother Mrs. Kaiser’s passing.  My deepest condolences to you.

I remember your mom very well.  She was so beautiful,  and very friendly and nice. Many a summer day we would see her, and occasionally your dad Frank, and all the boys, all set up on the sand, so much beautiful blonde hair shining in the sunshine.  My mom and my brother Allan and me were doing the same thing, unpacking our beach gear, ready to dive in. This all happened in the 1970s when a was a teenager,but I tell you that it was such a special and treasured time for me. We summered on Bellrose road, in what was then a  red, log, corner house…. I think it’s beige now and unfortunately it’s no longer in the family .  Back then, I never realized how much I would miss Sound Beach, the community, the beach, those two rocks, the old water pump, Ralph you yelling at kids to get down off the cliffs,  my cousins visiting us from Connecticut, etc. 
 I have thought of you all and your mom often, and it’s important for me to tell you this. I recently discovered the memories is Sound Beach page, saw your mom’s lovely photo for a birthday time , and today sadly read of her passing. I meant to write to her to say hi. I’m so sorry that I did not do this. If you can recall a long time ago, this is Gayle Greeley. My cousin Karen visited every summer, with her brothers and sisters, her grandparents who lived in the pink house that was at the top of the beach stairs (the old ones).

 Best of times were at Sound Beach.
