Sound Beach, NY – Ellen Fleury, 84, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025..

Ellen was reunited with her beloved husband of 62 years, Richard, and her dear daughter, Linda, who preceded her in passing. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she missed them deeply throughout her life.

Ellen is survived by her devoted son, Richard, and her cherished granddaughter, Ceralene Lizotte, whom she adored beyond measure. She found immense joy in spending time with family and friends, always lighting up the room with her kind and gentle spirit.

A woman of many talents, Ellen had a knack for cake decorating and crafting with plastic canvases, creating beautiful pieces that brought smiles to those around her. She also found fulfillment in giving back to her community, often lending a helping hand at the Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mt. Sinai.

Ellen was known for her love of simple pleasures. She delighted in outings to the Modern Snack Bar, especially for their loin of pork, and she had a special appreciation for funny birthday cards that never failed to bring a laugh.

Ellen's warmth, creativity, and enduring love for her family and community will be profoundly missed. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Rest in peace, Ellen. You are deeply loved and will forever remain in our hearts.
