George J. Cally

George John Cally, 82, of Rocky Point, New York, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. Born on November 19, 1943, George was a kind, generous, and dependable man. He had a wonderful sense of humor, trailing smiles and laughter wherever he went. George was a businessman and entrepreneur who worked in aerospace manufacturing, and a Vietnam Army Veteran.

Many will have fond memories of him rounding the 18th green or harmonizing to doo wop hits, cheering enthusiastically at basketball and softball games, or traveling to far-off destinations. But, he will mostly be remembered for his earnest and abiding love for his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was the beloved husband of Marion Beth Ward Cally, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. They met at a spaghetti dinner, and built a beautiful life together.

He was a supportive father to his children Samantha Cally Conlan,Scott Cally, Jason Cally, and daughter-in-law Rosemarie Cally, and a proud and caring grandfather to Anthony Cally, Julianna Cally, Sabrina Conlan, and Liam Conlan.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in George's honor to Hope House Ministries at www.hhm.org
