Throughout her life, Georgette epitomized unwavering faith and a profound commitment to serving her community. Her passion for spirituality even led her to pursue studies to becoming a Pastor. She was very involved in various churches, including New Beginnings, Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle, Healing Waters, and Full Gospel. Known for her heartfelt prayers, Georgette touched countless lives within the church, offering solace and support to all who sought her out for prayers.
Georgette's adventurous spirit found expression in her love for travel, highlighted by her solo journey to Israel—a testament to her courage and curiosity. Later in life, she embarked on a new pursuit, taking drum lessons, demonstrating her zest for lifelong learning and exploration.
Above all, Georgette cherished her family dearly. Her joy knew no bounds when surrounded by her two daughters, one son, and their spouses. Yet, her greatest source of pride and happiness stemmed from her five grandsons and three granddaughters, who filled her life with boundless love and laughter.
In remembering Georgette, let us celebrate a life lived with purpose, compassion, and boundless love—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Beloved mother of Lisa Sessa and her husband Nick Limoncelli, Thomas Mammolito and his wife Laurie and Dina Edis and her husband Michael. Loving grandma & Bonya of Albert, Angelina, Adriana, Thomas, Dominic, Nicholas, Gabriella and Gavin. Adored sister of Brian Yacur and his wife Roberta, Wendell Yacur and his wife Lorelei and the late Wayne Yacur. Georgette is also survived by her former spouse, Thomas Mammolito.
A visitation for Georgette will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764. Funeral mass on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 10 AM at St Louis de Montfort RC Church, 75 New York Avenue, Sound Beach, New York 11789. Cremation Private.
