Gloria Rose Diccianni passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026 in the early morning. Born May 2, 1929, she had a fulfilling life with her husband Biaso, who preceded her in her trip to heaven, and 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a loving dog, who also preceded her. She proved very resilient with her health, never suffering any great ailments, and everyone who knew her expected 100+ years of life, so her passing came as a bit of a surprise.
Gloria was a long time first grade teacher in Miller Place, a town and a school she loved dearly. A longtime favorite teacher who lived in the neighborhood, she welcomed her school children to come visit her at home even during the summer.
Both before and after retirement, she loved travel, having visiting most states in the US, and numerous places in Europe and Asia. Having a wonderful and outgoing personality, she easily spoke with everyone and anyone, and it is already quiet without her around.
Visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25a, Miller Place, NY 11764, US, on March 29, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with Officiant: Deacon Murano 4:15 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY 11727, US, on March 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 pm.
