Before retiring she worked as a Secretary of the Suffolk County Surrogate Court. Helen enjoyed golfing, sailing, reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Douglas) Haviland, Linda (Stephen) Slattery; grandchildren, Matthew Haviland, Tierney (Chris) Didier, Trent Slattery; and great grandchildren, Morgan and Logan Didier. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley, daughter, Susan Griffin, brother, John Klein and parents, John and Helen Klein.
An interment for Helen will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933.
Donations can be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
Helen will be missed by many.
