

Hugo Stumm of Wading River, NY, passed away on August 24, 2025 in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Born in Marienfeld, Bessarabia (Moldova), on August 28, 1936, to Friedrich and Johanna Stumm, he was a devoted husband of his wife Therese.
Hugo was a man of integrity, faith, and honor. After the loss of his beloved wife, he remained the rock of his family, providing his children and grandchildren with unconditional love and support. During his life he worked tirelessly to provide for them, instilling in them his strong work ethic, the importance of always doing the right thing, and his strong faith in God.
He was a professional Baker, trained in Germany. He owned and operated his own Bakery, Bellmeadow Bake Shop, in East Meadow, NY, for over 35 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed golf, baking Christmas cookies and chocolate cream pies, watching westerns and European soccer, listening to German polka music, and most importantly spending time with his family.
Hugo was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Johannes, Emil, Frederich, his sisters Ella, Else, his wife, Therese, and his grandson Benjamin. He is survived by his loving children, Frederick (Dina), Barbara (Rick), and Brian (Elizabeth), as well as his grandchildren (Adam, Marc, Eric, Jacob, Joshua), step-grandchildren (Sarah, Mary Nichole), great-grandchildren, and his loving sister Ida.
