Irene C. Onesios

Onesios, Irene on October 25, 2012 of Ridge, LI. Beloved wife of the late Ernest. Loving mother of James (Margaret) and William (Laura). Loving grandmother of Kristin and Kathryn. Cherished sister of Arthur Misischia and Dorothy Hanington.

Irene and Ernie shared 55 years of happy marriage and always considered each other best friends. Before moving to Leisure Village in Ridge, NY, Irene and Ernie lived in Woodhaven, Queens. Irene had a long career as an executive secretary and office manager with various electrical contracting companies in IBEW, Local 3. Upon retiring to Leisure Village, Irene engaged in all that the village had to offer and more. She was a condo manager, ran a Saturday night sing along, was part of a singing group called the Golden Tones, participated in village shows, joined the Red Hats and was secretary for the Democratic Club. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Reposing O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, LI. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Monday 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Rocky Point, LI. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
