Jackie Bellavia, 62, of Rocky Point, New York, passed away on August 1, 2026. She will be remembered by everyone who knew her for who she was — a woman of extraordinary wit, resilience, and heart.
Jackie had a gift for making people laugh, even in life’s toughest moments. Her humor was quick, warm (sometimes sharp!), and utterly her own — the kind that could turn a hard day into a good memory. But beneath that wit was a quiet strength that carried her, and everyone around her, through whatever came their way. She faced life’s challenges with grace and determination that inspired all who watched her do it. More than anything, Jackie’s love was steady — the kind you could always count on, no matter the distance or the years.
Jackie is survived by her sisters Cecilia Doolittle (Kevin), Geri Nigg (Clemens), Regina Bellavia (Charles) and her brother Salvatore Bellavia (Maureek). She was preceded in death by her father Salvatore “Sam” and Mother Virginia ‘Ginny.’ And she leaves behind six beautiful nieces and nephews, as well as two grand nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in Jackie’s honor. Please consider leaving a comment and/or picture on the Memorial tab, these will be included in a memory book for her family.
Jackie’s wit, warmth, and strength touched everyone who was lucky enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and quiet courage that will carry on in the lives of everyone she touched.
