James was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, respected chiropractor, retired New York City firefighter, and a man deeply grounded in his faith. Above all else, family was everything to him. He dedicated his life to caring for others, always striving to heal, support, and bring happiness to everyone, fortunate enough to know him.
James shared a beautiful love story with his beloved wife, Donna, whom he was married to for 22 wonderful years after meeting through a mutual friend. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
He leaves behind his cherished children, James Masone and his wife Cheryl and Terri Ann Masone and her husband Thomas DiCampli; his adored grandchildren, James Masone, Amanda Murray (Alex Owen), and Grace Murray; and his loving siblings, Peter, Nancy, and Annmarie. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, including Ashley, Frankie, Lauren, Billy, Sofia, Natalie, Helene, and Peter, along with cousins Charlie, Frankie, Steven, Charlie, Joey, and Johnny.
James is now reunited in eternal peace with his first wife, Grace, as well as his beloved cousins Ronnie, Eugene, Jackie, Angelo and Frankie who passed before him.
Those who knew James best describe him as beloved, brave, cherished, compassionate, devoted, faithful, generous, hardworking, inspirational, kind-hearted, loyal, and resilient. Whether serving his community as a firefighter, helping patients through chiropractic care, or simply being present for his family, James lived a life defined by selflessness and love.
He was the kind of man who always put others before himself. He wanted everyone in his life to feel cared for and happy. To his family, he was the best husband, father, and grandfather anyone could ask for — a true family man and a man of the Lord whose faith guided his life.
James’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
