He is survived by his loving children Lawrence J(the late Barbara) Stenson, Kathleen Mary(William) Sweeney, Ellen Joan(Steve) Turek & Mary Elizabeth(Kenneth) Rendeiro; his beloved grandchildren Gregory(Gia) Stenson, James Stenson, Michael(Patti) Stenson, Steven(Brooke) Stenson, Katie(Jay) Lamitola, Michael(Elyce) Sweeney, Matthew Turek, Daniel Turek, Leanne(Nick) Sepe, Joseph Turek, Janie(Mike)Scire, Martin(Valerie) Rendeiro and the late Jimmy Turek; his cherished Great-grandchildren Anna Victoria Stenson, Tore Stenson, Ava Stenson, Silas Stenson, Killian Stenson, Blake Stenson, Greyson Stenson, J.J. Lamitola, Joseph Lamitola, Jake Lamitola, John Lamitola, Matthew Turek, Joseph Sepe, Charlotte Sepe, Stephen Rendeiro & Giovanni Rendeiro.

A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764. A funeral mass is scheduled on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 9:45 AM at St Louis de Montfort RC Church, 75 New York Ave, Sound Beach, New York 11789. A burial at calverton national cemetery with Army Honors will occur Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, New York 11933.
