Jeffrey R. Kinkaid

Jeffrey R. Kinkaid, age 71, of Miller Place, New York, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Jeffrey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Deborah, and their cherished children: Jeffrey J. Kinkaid (Janine), Johanna Grossi (Jamie), Brian Kinkaid, Brooke Pete (Kevin), Bethany Kinkaid, and Jaclyn Kinkaid. Jeffrey was a proud and loving Papa to his grandchildren: James Grossi, Jeffrey T. Kinkaid, Benjamin Grossi, Grace Kinkaid, Matthew Grossi, James Kinkaid, Emma Grossi, Nora Darus, Lincoln Pete, Henry Pete, and Eloise Pete.

Jeffrey had a long and distinguished career, working for over 25 years as an air traffic controller, followed by an additional 15 years with the Federal Aviation Administration. His commitment to safety and service made him a respected figure in his field. In addition to his professional work, he was deeply involved in his community. Jeffrey proudly served as Chief of the Miller Place Fire Department for 36 years and as a commissioner for 20 years, dedicating countless hours to the service of others.

Outside of his career, Jeffrey had many passions, including antiquing, trains, John Deere tractors, and country music. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and shared that joy with all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Saint Anthony's of Padua Church, 614 NY-25A, Rocky Point, NY 11778. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY 11727.

Jeffrey will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family and community.
