

Age 74, of Ridge, NY, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025.
John leaves behind his beloved wife, Arlene, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He was a proud and loving father to Lisa (Daniel) Linders and John (Elizabeth) Luisi, and a proud grandfather to Gianna, Emma, and Mia. He also leaves behind his dear niece Danielle, as well as his faithful four-legged companions Luci and Skyla, and his grand-dog Cooper.
John is reunited in eternal peace with his sister Carol, and with Scruffy and Tucker, his loyal pets who crossed the Rainbow Bridge before him.
For his entire professional life, John dedicated himself to Con Edison, working in emergency services with commitment and pride. Beyond his career, he lived life with joy and enthusiasm. A skilled bowler and bocce player, John was also a devoted sports fan—rooting passionately for the Mets, Jets, and Knicks. His love of the outdoors shone through his beautiful gardens, where he tended to his plants and flowers with care. In the kitchen, he was known for his incredible meatballs and famous Sunday sauce, a tradition that brought family and friends together around the table.
John had a generous heart, always looking after others and making sure the people in his life knew their worth. His kindness, humor, and warmth left an impression on everyone who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
