John J. Mikucki, 76, of Swiftwater, passed away peacefully, Tuesday afternoon October 12, 2021, at his home. Born in Maspeth, Queens, New York on December 25, 1944, he was the son of the late John A. and Florence (McDonald) Mikucki. John graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, Queens, New York and served his country in the United States Army earning a National Defense Service Medal; a Good Conduct Medal and a Sharpshooter Rifle Ribbon. Following his honorable discharge, he returned home to New York where he obtained a position with the New York Sanitation Department and held that position until his retirement. Following his retirement, he relocated to Swiftwater.
John enjoyed fishing and was a ham radio operator. He was a member of the American Legion 922, Cresco.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents, were his brothers, Dennis, and Gary Mikucki.
Surviving is his wife, Catherine (Carvino) Mikucki, of Swiftwater, Daughter’s, Lisa Fulbrook and her husband, Robert of Mastic Beach, New York, Dawn Marie Li Vecchi of Coram, New York, Melissa Morana and her husband, Michael of Patchogue, New York, Beth Bullock and her husband, Keith of Middle Island, New York, Donna Cornand of Farmingville, New York; Beloved Grandfather of Danielle, Nicky, Nicholas, Victor, Zachary, Halle, Noah, Jimmy, and Kristen and Great-grandfather of Cianna, David and Alexis.
