Lauretta Kaessinger, a cherished resident of Miller Place, New York, passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 8, 1945, Lauretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, whose life was marked by love, service, and community involvement.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert, and their three children: Peter, Craig (Laurie), and Matthew (Brandy). Lauretta was also a proud grandmother to Kirstin, Corey, Caige, Vance, Grayson, and Nolan. She leaves behind her dear sister, Audrey Petzold.
Lauretta was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rocky Point, where she contributed her time and talents in various capacities. She volunteered at the soup kitchen, served on the church's counting committee, and was known for her beautiful calligraphy work, which she generously shared with the church community.
A visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 1001 Route 25a, Miller Place, NY 11764, on August 21, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 716 NY-25A, Rocky Point, NY 11778, on August 22, 2025, at 11:00 am. Following the service, a Committal Service and Interment will take place at Sea View Cemetery, 233 N Country Rd, Mount Sinai, NY 11766, at 12:30 pm.
Lauretta's life was a testament to her faith, love for her family, and dedication to her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in honor of Lauretta.
