I have many wonderful memories of Uncle Marty. When I was about 10 I took the bus to NY by myself to visit Pat and she and Marty met me in the city. It was a wonderful trip. We went to the Bronx Zoo and Coney Island and rode the Staten Island Ferry. Any time I visited Marty (and Joyce) made me feel like one of their own-- you'd get teased just the same as the rest. Honestly probably my most memorable time with Uncle Marty (and there were many) was several years ago. It was a Saturday night and we had plans. The phone rang and I answered it to that very familiar voice (I can do a good impression in person😉). He said I'm in your neck of the woods, I'll be there in 15 mins. I was taken aback but happy to see him. He arrived looking dapper with two Irish women (he had worked with their husbands I believe?) it was bizarre and charming and utterly Marty. So glad to have known and loved this smart, funny, kind, quirky man. Even more glad to claim him as my family. So sorry for you loss Diane, Martin, Pat and Danny. You had a great family. I am thankful for the times I spent with you.
