Abbate, Mary J. (Lolly) ne Landers, 85 formerly of Mt. Sinai and Oyster Bay died peacefully in her sleep on January 5, 2015. A proud graduate of St. Dominic’s High School, ’47, Lolly served as a legal secretary, then as a school secretary in the Middle Country School District. Predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur, she leaves behind devoted children: Rev. Ann Van Cleef (Robert), Arthur (Benedetta), Alan (Maureen), Amy Chico (Lawrence), and Michael (Ellen), thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her golf buddies, Scrabble partners and scores of close friends, including Richard McGuckin. Reposing at the O.B. Davis Funeral Home, 1001 Rt. 25A, Miller Place, L.I. Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral mass Friday 10 am at St. Louis deMontfort R.C. Church, Sound Beach, N.Y.
