WALSH MICHAEL C. WALSH of Rocky Point, New York, passed unexpectedly on May 8, 2015 at the age of 65. Michael was predeceased by his Father, Charles F. Walsh, and is survived by his Mother, Mary P. Walsh, his siblings Kathleen Moleski (Chris), Patricia, Robert, John, and W. James (Lori), and nine loving nieces and nephews. Michael graduated at the top of his class from Gilmour Academy, did course work at Yale University and John Carroll before taking his B.A. in Anthropology from Cleveland State University. He was an active fossil collector (at his happiest digging in a creek bed!) and a prolific writer, much of his writing drawing on his lifelong study of prehistory as well as the natural and spiritual worlds. He had published over eighty poems in numerous magazines and anthologies, authored one book and co-authored another. Michael had read his work in Cleveland, Manhattan, Southampton and across Long Island.
