The Stoneleigh Woods and Miller Place mourns the loss of a beloved member of its community as Patricia Jurs Driscoll, aged 77, peacefully passed away on May 2, 2024. Patricia, known affectionately as "Pat," touched the lives of many with her boundless love, kindness, and gentle spirit.
Pat's life was a testament to love and devotion. At the tender age of 15, she met her soulmate, Jack Driscoll, and together they embarked on a journey that spanned 54 years of marriage. Their love was a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who knew them.
Patricia's love knew no bounds, as she adored her family and friends with every fiber of her being. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, where love overflowed and memories were made. A sign hung in her house, declaring: "My children are the rainbow, my grandkids the pot of gold," a testament to the joy and pride she found in her loved ones.
Patricia's seven grandchildren held a special place in her heart, bringing light and laughter into her life each day. She was a pillar of strength and support, always there to offer guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love.
In addition to her husband Jack, Pat is survived by her children and their spouses: Ellen and Chris Abbott, Michele and Michael Lake, and Carolyn and Keith Eckert. Her legacy of love also lives on through her grandchildren: Aidan, Brendan, Kendall, Jack, Gavin, Noah, and Lily.
Though her brother John preceded her in death, she is also survived by her late brother John’s wife, Elaine, her brother Dennis and his wife Linda, as well as her beloved sibling in-laws: Jim (Laura), Tom (Melissa), Peggy, Paul, Barbara, Loreene (Dave), and Diane.
Throughout her life, Patricia found fulfillment in her work and her many passions. She dedicated herself to various occupations, including clerical work, sales, and marketing at Southport Square. Beyond her professional endeavors, she was deeply committed to serving others through her involvement in numerous organizations, including the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, St. Peter and Paul Baptism Program, RCIA Program, a Eucharistic Minister, Member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, Shoebox Charity Ministries, and World Vision sponsorship.
In her leisure time, Patricia found joy in crocheting, shopping, gardening, and traveling. She cherished beach trips, quiet moments with a good book, and most of all, spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren and her fur-grandpets, Henry, Freckles, and Mila.
Patricia Driscoll was a shining example of selflessness, kindness, and beauty. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Pat's love will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forevermore. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
