Patricia A Shivers

September 5, 1962 - October 26, 2021

We mournfully announce the passing of Patricia Ann Shivers, of Coram, New York. Pat passed away on October 26, after a short hard-fought battle with cancer.

Pat, born to Larry and Carlene Shivers, took her first breath on September 5, 1962. Pat was a force to be reckoned with from the get go, trying to keep up with her older brother. She graduated from Rocky Point High School in 1980 and SUNY Cortland in 1984. She pursued and was awarded a degree in Journalism.

Pat was an avid sports fan and a proud member of the 7 Line. She grew up around a long line of motorsports racers and enjoyed being a key part of their pit crews. She loved Nascar, the New York Mets and the New England Patriots, just to name a few. If Pat wasn’t working or watching a sports event you could probably find her shopping for some new kicks or creating the most perfect gift for a family member. Her four nieces, great niece and three great nephews meant more to her than words can describe. We will all miss her dearly.

Pat is survived by her parents, Larry and Carlene Shivers, her older brother, Larry (Holly) Shivers; her sister, Karen Shivers; her younger brother, Gregg (Bernadette) Shivers; her four nieces, Jacklyn (Brian) Obiedzenski, Alyssa (Garrett) Marion, Kayla Shivers, and Alexa Shivers; and her four great nieces and nephews, Ella, Grayson, Ryder, and Asher.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. A closing prayer will occur Wednesday Evening at 7pm with Deacon James DiGiovanna. Burial of ashes will take place Saturday, November 6th at 11:00 am at Queen of All Saints Cemetery, 115 Wheeler Road, Central Islip, NY 11772.

If you would like to follow the family to the cemetery, please meet at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes by 10:00 am for a prompt departure at 10:15 am.
