Paul shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marie. They met in high school through Marie’s brother, beginning a lifetime of love and partnership.
A proud patriot, Paul served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964 as an Aviation Electronics Technician Second Class (E-5) and radio operator. His service reflected the discipline, dedication, and integrity that defined his life.
After his military service, Paul enjoyed many years as an electronics salesman. He then moved into a successful career as a Realtor, earning the trust and respect of many through his honesty, hard work, and genuine care for others.
Paul was a faithful Catholic whose life was guided by his deep faith and commitment to service. A proud Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, he also gave generously of his time to the Catholic Youth Association, helping with youth basketball and free throw contests.
He will be remembered most for his warmth and friendliness. Whether working in his front yard or spending time outdoors, Paul always stopped to chat with neighbors, families, children, and even the dogs that passed by. He truly knew everyone for blocks around and turned neighbors into friends.
Paul had a great love for music and dancing. Both Paul and Marie were known to be the first ones on the dance floor and the last to leave. He also enjoyed simple pleasures such as crossword puzzles, Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, rooting for the Mets, and working around the house. He was structured, dependable, charitable, and faithful, and lived each day with purpose.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; his children, Terry and her husband Carl, Pattie, and Paul and his wife Raija; his grandchildren, Tyler, Mitchell, Lauren, Julia, and Steven; and his great-grandchildren, Tessa and Anthony.
He is also survived by his siblings, Antoinette (Henry), Vinny, Michelle (Charlie), and Denise (the late Steve), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Lenny (Pat).
Paul’s life was a testament to faith, family, service, and community. He will be remembered as a loving, honest, loyal, and resilient man whose kindness touched many lives.
