

Ralph Thomas Iervolino, age 85, of Rocky Point, New York and formerly of NYC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Constance Ward Iervolino, and his beloved children, Laura Iervolino Fuori, Christopher Ward Iervolino and dear daughter-in-law Kathleen and Stephen Ralph Iervolino and his late daughter-in-law Jennifer Lemiech Iervolino. Ralph was a proud and cherished grandpa to Austin, Lindsay, Mark, Nicole, Tyler, and Evan. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Anna Petrucelli and Fred Iervolino. Beloved uncle to twelve nieces and nephews.
Ralph was a graduate of St. John’s University and held a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School. He worked for 30 years for the Agency for Children’s Services in NYC as Director of 22 group homes for abused and neglected teens ages 16-21, and also as Director of Education. After his retirement, he was an adjunct professor in social work practice and administration at Touro College.
He was a caring and compassionate man totally dedicated to his family and helping others with a wonderful sense of humor and zest for life. Ralph had been a parish trustee and lector for 20 years at his prior parish of St. Lucy’s, Bronx, NY. After his retirement he enjoyed pursuing his passion for oil painting and playing golf with his Rocky Point and city buddies. He was a lifelong ardent Yankees baseball fan. A true history buff, he loved exploring New York City, attending theater and visiting museums with his wife Connie. Ralph also became an award- winning artist with his paintings gracing homes throughout New York. Just before his passing, he was invited to showcase his work in a two month solo exhibition at the North Shore Library.
Visitation for Ralph will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Home, 1001 Route 25 A , Miller Place, NY 11764. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Rocky Point.
In lieu of flowers, the Iervolino family suggests that donations be made in Ralph’s memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, The Smile Train, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, and Good Shepherd Hospice.
Ralph’s spirit, creativity, and love will be missed by all who knew him. His family says his legacy of love, devotion, and service, honesty, humility, and humor will endure.
