Richard W. Hull

Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was defined by faith, family, hard work, and an adventurous spirit.

For 68 beautiful years, Richard shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Lillian. Their love story began in Brooklyn when they first met, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, family, and countless cherished memories. Their enduring marriage was a testament to Richard’s faithful and loyal heart and the deep love they shared.

Richard was known by his family and friends as adventurous, compassionate, kind-hearted, hard-working, faithful, loyal, and deeply beloved. He approached life with curiosity and enthusiasm, always ready for his next adventure. He found great joy in hunting, shooting, boating, golfing, and traveling with his family. Above all, Richard treasured the time spent with those he loved, creating memories that will remain in their hearts forever.

A man who took great pride in his work, Richard’s career reflected his strong work ethic and determination. He worked as a dairy farmer, owned and operated his own trucking business, and later served as a power plant mechanical foreman with Long Island Lighting Company. Through each chapter of his working life, Richard was respected for his dedication, reliability, and steadfast nature.

His faith was an important part of Richard’s life. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he found fellowship, comfort, and community.

Richard leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Lillian; his daughter, Laura Hull; and his son, Richard Hull, and his wife, Lisa. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Eric Sasso, Amanda Meehan, Nicholas Hull, and Olivia Vataj; and his great-grandchildren, Andrew Meehan, Gavin Sasso, and Addison Meehan.

Richard is now welcomed with open arms by his beloved siblings, Erwin and Linda Morzillo, who passed before him.

Richard’s compassionate heart, kind spirit, unwavering loyalty, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His adventurous spirit lives on in the stories, lessons, and memories he leaves behind. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave so freely will remain a lasting part of his family for generations to come.

He lived a life of faith, love, hard work, and adventure—and he will be forever cherished.
