Robert E. Thomsen Jr.

Robert E. Thomsen, Jr., age 57, of Wading River, New York passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was an enthusiastic sports fan always cheering for his favorite sports teams: the Giants, the Rangers, Siena College basketball and of course his beloved New York Yankees. To some he was known as "Bob", to others "Bobby," but to the most precious ones in his life, he was Dad. He devoted his time to them as a little league coach, and not just a soccer dad, but a dance dad. He created beautiful memories with his wife, Ann, particularly on their trip to Ireland for his fortieth birthday. Robert loved his rock n' roll music. He took pleasure in the sounds of the Beatles, Zebra and Led Zepplin. He also liked Barry Manilow in private and was teased by his wife as being a "Fanilow."

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Ann and children Zachary, Kaylee, Connor and Matthew. Loving son to Eileen and Robert E. Thomsen Sr. Cherished brother to Christine McDermott (Scott), Kevin Thomsen (Susan), William Thomsen (Emma), Mary Elizabeth Firouzabadian (Shary) and Stephen Thomsen (Rafaela). His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St John the Baptist RC Church, 1488 N Country Rd, Wading River, New York. Entombment will follow at 12:00 PM at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11785.
