Rosemarie Cirolli (née Buscher), age 77, of Sound Beach, passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2025. Born in 1947 to Rose and Henry Buscher in the Bronx, NY, Rosemarie lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to family, friends, and animals.
She shared 59 years with her beloved husband, Peter, and together they built a life full of love and cherished memories. Rosemarie was the proud and devoted mother of Christine Cirolli and her wife Stacey Nowak, as well as George Cirolli and his wife Kimberly Cirolli. She was the adored grandmother of George, Gavin, and Greyson Cirolli, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her dear nephew William Ferguson, niece Maria Cuomo, her cousins Rosalind Ruff, Karen Smith, Karen Schropp-Weeks, and Linda Schropp and her sister in laws that she loved dearly, Fran and Jane. Reunited with her brother-in-law Bill who passed before her.
Rosemarie was deeply grateful for the care and love provided by her caregivers—Lisa, Araceli, Joyce, Tiyasia, Guima, Laura, and Carly—all of whom she cherished dearly. The compassionate nurses at Good Shepherd Hospice, Maria, Tracy, Elsie, and Sandy, also held a special place in her heart.
Throughout her life, Rosemarie worked as a secretary at LaGuardia Airport, a waitress, and later as a secretary at the IRS. However, beyond her occupations, she was known for her immense love of animals. She leaves behind her loyal pup, Kalisi, and is now reunited with her beloved fur babies who crossed the rainbow bridge before her—her dogs Meggie, Roxy, Lady, Ernie, Pepper, Coco, Sugar, Taffy, Ziti, Cookie and Prince, as well as her dear cat Jingles.
A lover of beauty and nature, Rosemarie had a remarkable talent for growing flowers, adding color and life to the world around her. She had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter to everyone she met, making them feel that no matter what, things would always work out. Her kindness extended to all creatures, big and small, and she taught those around her the importance of compassion.
More than anything, Rosemarie loved bringing people together. Her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit will forever be missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
