Rudolph Nicholas Peterson, age 94, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026. "Nick" was a man of faith, an avid reader, a college professor of pharmacology, and a world traveler. A proud veteran of the Korean War, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Throughout his life, Nick embraced learning, faith, and the many experiences and relationships that enriched his journey.
He is survived by his loving sister, Barbara Senenfelder (the late Melvin), and was predeceased by his beloved brother, Kevin Peterson (Linda). His memory will live on in the hearts of his many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, who will cherish the memories and legacy he leaves behind.
Visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764, on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and again from 7:00–9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark's R.C. Church, 105 Randall Road, Shoreham, NY 11786, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
May Nick rest in eternal peace, comforted by his faith and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
