Anthony “Tony” Mennona, of Miller Place, passed away on August 24, 2026. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Terry, to cherish his memory. Their love story began as young co-workers at Oakdale-Bohemia Junior High School and blossomed into 40 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Tony was an adored husband, devoted father, brother, and friend. He was the proud and adored father of daughters Jenna, Brianna, and Alexa and her fiancé, James Galante. He is also survived by his brother, Vito and Vito’s wife, Gina, and his sister, Kathleen. Tony’s faithful family dog, Lu, held a very special place in his heart.
Those who knew Tony would describe him as generous, honest, and selfless. He had a heart of gold and would do absolutely anything for anyone. Tony was the kind of person who would drive any distance, put aside his own plans, or inconvenience himself simply to make life easier for someone else. Helping others was never a burden to him—it was simply who he was.
Tony found happiness in the simple pleasures of life and in the people he loved most. He enjoyed traveling, playing pickleball and golf, firing up the grill, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Jets and Mets. Most of all, he treasured spending time with his family. Some of his most special moments were spent beside Terry at the beach, watching the sunsets together and appreciating the life they had built side by side.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of calling him husband, father, brother, family, and friend.
