Vera Fischer

Vera Fischer, age 93, of Rocky Point, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2024. She has now reunited with her beloved husband, Thomas, who preceded her in death. Vera leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her daughter, Jeanne, and son-in-law, Karl.

Born into a loving family, Vera is survived by her brother, Joseph, and sister, Judith. She was preceded in death by her sister, Milly. Vera's presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends, as well as by the many animals she held dear throughout her life.

In her professional life, Vera dedicated her talents as a Computer Operator with Lawrence Aviation, where she made lasting contributions. Beyond her career, Vera was known for her compassionate heart. Over the years, she was blessed with the companionship of many cherished four-legged friends, including Gandalf, Moot, Monster (also known as Eddie Fischer), Bailey, Rolf, and Figaro.

Vera's kindness, warmth, and love will be remembered by all who knew her. In addition to her dedication to her family and her work, Vera had a passion for crosswords, spending many hours immersed in their challenging puzzles. Her legacy of love for her family, her work ethic, her compassion for animals, and her love of crosswords will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

As we bid farewell to Vera, we find solace in the memories we shared and the love she bestowed upon us. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal embrace of those she loved.
