Bill leaves behind his devoted wife, Christine “Chris,” with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud father to Shawn Philp-Becker and her husband Richard, Denise Philp, and Brian Philp. Bill was the cherished grandfather of Madison Becker, Ryan Becker, Michael Philp, and Samaria Philp. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine “Lori” Greenberg, and nephew, Matthew Greenberg.
Bill honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. Following his service, he worked as a Switch Technician, where his strong work ethic and technical skills were greatly valued.
A man of many interests, Bill enjoyed reading, working with computers, tending to landscaping projects, traveling, and cheering on the New York Jets. Known for his knack for fixing just about anything, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. Bill was also an active member of The Glen Computer Club, where he shared his passion for technology with others.
Bill’s life was defined by love for his family, dedication to his community, and a curious mind that never stopped learning. He will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, and unwavering loyalty.
