I was stationed with DeWayne at Sembach AB Germany. He was so well liked by everyone who knew him. There are two very memorable times I had with DeWayne. The first was when we came up with an idea to go camping at Otterburg Lake not too far from Sembach. Before long word got out and our little camping trip turned into a big party at the lake with probably 100 or so people. We had such a great time, and this really stands out as one of my most memorable events in Germany. The most important time we spent together however, was when we were on temporary duty in Zaragoza Spain. We went into town and that was the night that I met my wife while I was with DeWayne. I lost touch with DeWayne when I left Germany, but I have always remembered him as one of the best people I knew from my time there. I wish we would have kept in touch over the years. I pray for DeWaynes family.
