Curtiss Lee Foote

Curtiss L Foote, 88, of Minden, NV passed away peacefully on October 14, surrounded by loved ones at home after a short illness. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend whose humor, wisdom and warmth touched the lives of all who knew him.

After serving and receiving an Honorary Discharge from the United States Marine Corps, Curt enrolled in Syracuse University and started his printing career as a typesetter in his hometown. He enjoyed his career as a successful printer, salesman and executive in the graphic arts industry, where he exposed his family to locales like Philadelphia, Buffalo, California and Washington, DC. He and his wife Caroline (Herold) relocated to the Nevada desert below Lake Tahoe in 2000.

Born in Syracuse, NY, Curtiss Lee Foote grew up as an avid outdoorsman, and his hunting and fishing expeditions would lead him across the States and on to the Chalk streams of England and crystal rivers of Argentina. Throughout his life, he was known for his sense of humor, dedication, kindness and an unwavering commitment to his family.

Curt is survived by his wife Caroline, children Dan (Buffalo, NY), Bob (Orinda, CA), John (Winnemucca, NV) and Kristen (Minden, NV), grandchildren Brad, Brooke, Danny Foote, Cecilia Lopez and Noah Rhynes, and many dear friends and extended family.

Curt’s/Dad’s/Grandpa’s presence will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
