Peggy Rosina Morris

On Monday, March 8, 2021, Peggy H Morris, Loving Mother of 6 children, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 91. Peggy was born in Brunswick, GA. After the early death of her father in the Navy in 1936, she lived with her grandparents in Quebec, Canada for a number of years. After her High School graduation, she met and married Harold I Morris and they moved to Miami, FL where they purchased their home and lived throughout their marriage.

They and their family travelled throughout the United States with the Pan American Rod and Gun Club on Rock Hunting expeditions for many years. Peggy continued her travels after the death of her husband including a trip to Alaska and Australia. She moved to Nevada and built her home in 1996. Peggy was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Carson City NV and enjoyed being a member of the choir as well. Peggy was also a member of the Mason Valley Gem And Mineral Club in 1998 and enjoyed many expeditions and outings with their members. Peggy also sought higher education at the age of 53 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked as an RN at Baptist Hospital in Miami FL, Home Health in Carson City and then Carson-Tahoe Hospital in Carson City NV. She worked as an RN until the age of 82 when an injury suffered on the job forced her retirement.

She is survived by Paul A Hansen Sr., Niles & Michelle Corey, Ryann, Cullen & Kelli Corey; Paul A Hansen III; Chris & Erica Waller, Kaya & Brody Waller; Earl & Dianne Medlock, Jacob Medlock; Kevin & Elizabeth Nenno, CJ & Katie Sip, Langdon & Cooper Sip, Megan & Nathan Sip; Harold I Morris Jr., Zachary & Riley Morris; Faith E Lee & Caitlyn Lee.

Peggy was preceded in death by her two eldest daughters Barbara Ann Morris and Carolyn Morris Hansen, her grandchildren Paul A Hansen II & Paulette Hansen and her great grandson Patrick Corey.
