Anna Pidhayny

Pidhayny, Anna, of NE Mpls passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011. Preceded in death by dear husband, Hilary; infant daughter, Marusia; brother, Dmytro; parents, Mychajlo and Maria Zalucky. Survived by children, Jerry (Lesya “Alice”) and Christine (Leo), grandchildren, Mark, Andrew (Joelle), Taras, Lana, Katya (Chris); beloved great-granddaughters Ava and Brynn; sister, Halyna Swinsisky. Lifelong parishioner of St. Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, Pyrozhnytsia (“Pyrohy” ladies) and member of Ukrainian American Community Center Women’s Club. A seamstress by profession, Anna was a phenomenal, sought-after baker who also lived to garden and be among her flowers. Her most important role – “Baba.” Visitation on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 5-8PM with Panachyda at 7PM, Kapala Glodek Funeral Home, 230 13th Ave NE, Minneapolis. Divine Liturgy, Friday, February 4, 2011 at 9:30AM, St. Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 515 University Avenue NE, Minneapolis with Visitation 1 hour prior. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
