Mabel and Irving Ames raised Ardis & her brother, Frank, in North Minneapolis, the Camden area.
A proud graduate of Patrick Henry High, she later finished her education with a U of M Dental Hygiene degree, with which she brightened the smiles of many.
She wisely married Jay Hopps, and their family included a son, Kevin, and a daughter, Tammy, who became her best friend.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy; Nieces, Barbara Ames and Lisa Lysholm (Mark); Nephews, Mark Hopps (Doreen), Todd Hopps (Melody), their much-loved children and grandchildren, and many friends and loved ones. Other survivors, son, Kevin (Mara), & three grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Revive Church, Brooklyn Park with visitation beginning at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the ASPCA or Tunnel to Towers.
