June 7, 1928March 5, 2020

Audrey A. Jones, 91, of New Brighton, formerly of South Minneapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, March 5, 2020.

Audrey was a trailblazing, unapologetic, lifelong Democrat. She was on the forefront of recycling, a genuine human rights advocate, she understood the importance of early childhood education, as a pre-K teacher for 25 years. She laid the hospitality foundation that each of her boys maintains to this day. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; six brothers; and four sisters.

So sorry for all of you in losings your dear mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother!
Audrey was a dear friend and I too loved her. Our “sewing club” had many years of get-togethers with very spirited discussions and strong opinions - and still loved each other deeply. Didn’t get much sewing done tho.
Many trips together too . We were so lucky!
Audrey was a real mentor to me in new ways of thinking. Best friends forever.
