She grew up in a village from North Vietnam, migrated to South Vietnam and eventually immigrated to America. Despite lack of schooling, she raised four children and provided for her husband in a political labor camp in punishing postwar environment.
Surviors include younger sisters: Tân, Thảo; children: Liêm, Loan, Nghị; daughters-in-law: Phượng, Cúc; grandchildren: Justin, Jason, Anthony, Bryan, Emily and Benjamin; nieces: Uyên, Quỳnh, Thư, Phúc, Thi. Hợp was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Chu Quang Chỉnh, older brother Bùi Thế Hưng, sister-in-law Chu Thị Minh Tâm. and youngest daughter Thủy.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Monday, January 06, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home's Chapel in Minneapolis. Visitation follows 12pm-2pm.
