She was born on July 11, 1938 in Warroad, MN to Edward and Emily Gardner. Millie was the sixth of six children. She attended Warroad schools. Millie met the love of her life, Kenneth Mueller, while working in Minneapolis; they married in November 1958. Together they had four children. Millie worked for the Soo Line Railroad in Minneapolis and the City of Spring Lake Park. She and Ken lived in Blaine and Fridley, and after retiring moved to Albertville.
Millie was a wonderful wife, mother, friend, homemaker, cook, bowler, dancer and neighbor. She was active in her kids’ lives; she was a den mother with Cub Scouts, a group leader with Camp Fire Girls, and volunteered at school and St. Philips Lutheran Church. She also served as an election judge for many years.
Survived by sons, Daniel (Sharon Christoffersen), and Jeff; daughter, Kathy (Dan) Rodelius; grandchildren, Danielle (Kelly) Enger, Julienne Mueller (Cory Moss), Amanda (Tony Semmen) Specht, Jacqueline (Robert) Vargas, Dominique Mueller; granddaughter-in-law, Abbey Rodelius; and great-grandchildren, Justus King, Samantha Moss, Jackson Tyler Moss, Camilla Specht, Aeliana Vargas and Emmeline Vargas; many nieces, nephews and in-law's.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; son, Tim; granddaughter, Emma Rodelius; grandsons, Andrew and Ben Rodelius; sisters, Ethel Johnson and Darlene Erickson; brothers, Orrin Gardner and Kenneth Gardner and Gerry Gardner; and in law's.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, Fridley with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
Family interment will be held at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis.
