I'm so sorry to learn of Dr. Clark's passing.  I was one of his patients for many years, and apart from his eye exams and lens prescriptions, he was instrumental in curing my severe headaches.  I began getting headaches while in high school,  and they continued through collage and beyond.  In my mid-twenties, I had episodes of headaches that lasted 5-7 days with excruciating pain. In collage I had been diagnosed with alternating exophoria, a problem where the eyes do not track properly.  Unfortunately, I didn't know that there was anything that could be done about it and did not associate my headaches with this eye condition.  When Dr. Ohnesorge noticed my eye condition, he recommended treatment using a device which, if I recall correctly, was initially developed by his father-in-law.  It consisted of a spinning wheel about 20" in diameter that had a spiral painted on it.  The wheel had a smaller disk attached to it with a little 2" diameter red light on it.  Using prisms, he would have me look through the lenses and focus on the spinning red light.  Then he would adjust the prisms so that it was more difficult to see the image as one instead of two spinning wheels.  He would say "keep it one" as he slowly adjusted the prisms.  I could feel the eye strain while my brain worked to see only one wheel instead of two.  Then, suddenly the single wheel would appear to split into two separate wheels.  Dr. Clark treated me for several months, but since those treatments I have not had those severe headaches.  That was about forty years ago!  I am so very grateful to Dr. Clark Ohnesorge for curing my headaches.

My deepest sympathies to your family during this time. It was a great pleasure working with Clark these last 7 months. Clark always made my day with his quick jokes, his stories and I could always count on him to be by that fireplace keeping warm when I came in. I miss seeing his shoes by the fireplace at night. He was an amazing man and it was such a joy and pleasure getting to know him and your family.

Dear Family of Dr. Ohnesorge (especially Liz),
So sorry to hear of the loss of my very favorite eye-doctor.  He was such a wonderful person and did so well for me.  I always looked forward to seeing him (in at least 3 different spots in downtown Minneapolis).  Good memories.
