Dean, I will miss you and our times talking about our work. We spent many hours talking about work. You were always there to help me and give me advice. You were my second brother and had time to listen to me when I needed it. Lisa thank-you for sharing such a great person with everyone. He was a giver and loved to help everyone and will be missed. Lisa, I met Dean at your dad's retirement party.  What a shock and a loss for you and your entire family.  My impression of him from meeting him and the stories Dave told of him was that he was a caring and fun loving person.  His loss will certainly be a void in your lives.......I know.  Just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary,  Ted & I are so very sorry for your loss.  We always saw Dean  at your home everyday getting your mail and putting garbage out weekly.   He always said HI to us as we sat on our deck overlooking your garage and home..  Let us know if you need anything as you have our number.

Dean encouraged me, and Ed, to take the position of managing the Lynde's Holiday store in Arbor Lakes in 2008. It was a fun, enlightening challenge for us all and a great learning curve. I will miss his smiling face at Lynde's.

Lisa, I'm so so sorry for the loss of your best friend and husband. Dean was as good for you as you for him. Im saying prayers for you and him as you process the loss of him in your life. Keep strong and know many people will be there for you in your mourning. Wish I could be there Friday. Take care and cherish and remember the times you had together, what a long and lovely time you had. I'll remember our times forever.

I have had the extreme pleasure of knowing Dean since starting in the hort business in 1984. He was always a pleasure to work with. He was my customer for his greenhouse and I was his for my home. I will miss those phone calls where he would simply say Dean - Dean

We will always cherish Dean in our hearts.  He was a wonderful guy to work for and with.  I loved hearing about his travels and adventures and also to learn from him, have a beer with him, talk about gardening ideas, help build his own water feature and chats in the landscape office.  We're so sad but yet so happy that we were able to know such an amazing person.

Dean was the one most interesting customers of mine to call upon. He always had time to hear about my growing family and I feel he was the most honest and straight forward person to work with. I will miss you Dean.

Dear Mr Dean what a pleasure it was to known you and worked with you ,you always saw the best in people ,it was so much fun building you your waterfeature and always had a story to share about you life experiences.

It's impossible to believe that Dean is really gone; I'll miss seeing him randomly while camping and hearing my dad answer the phone "hey, Dean-o!"  My prayers go out to everyone who will be missing Dean.

There are not enough words to say how sad I am right now. So many great memories and so thankful to have been his friend.

I always enjoyed my time spent with Dean. From laughs over a beer to helping plant trees in the new yard, I'll value the memories of our shared experiences.

Man, I am so sad to read this.  Dean was my boss while I was night crew member during high school.  He was an awesome guy, who always had a smile and a joke to share.  One of the favorite bosses I've ever worked for.

I worked with Dean over 20 years ago and I still remember what a nice guy he was, one in a million I would say.   Wishing your family peace in your time of sorrow.

The Johnson family is a unique and wonderful collection of wisdom, humor, kindness, and a little special sauce!  I have so many fond memories in the home of Lisa and Dean.  I pray for you all in this great lost, but I have so much happiness for the contributions Dean made in his time here.

Dean Will be greatly missed. I am so sorry he had to leave so early in his life but so glad to have known him in mine.

It is with much sadness that I leave this message for Lisa, Ryan and Sara.  I will always remember Deans desire to remain here with you for many more years and his determination and tenacity.  While I know that Dean wanted to be at home and not with us, he always treated us with the same kindness and love that he showed to his family, and we grew to love Dean.  

It was easy to see how much Dean was loved and admired!  So many people visited him during his time with us.  The easy laughter and stories brought smiles to us too.

Lisa, what a gift to Dean you are.  Always there to help him when he needed you even in the early hours of the morning when he struggled to sleep until the late hours of the evening.

I know that there is little that I can say to ease you hurting heart, but please know that the Johnson family has been in my thoughts and prayers since the day I met you all.
