Delores was born in Hillsview, South Dakota to George and Christine (Landenberger) Guthmiller. She attended a country school in Hillsview later moving to Aberdeen, SD and later settled into the Twin Cities area. Delores raised her 6 children and married Robert Froid in 1981. He also had 5 children. She was a reader for a newspaper clipping service for over 30 years.
She enjoyed hosting holidays, playing cards, reading, baking, making candies and pies, cooking, raking her yard and most of all, spending time with her family.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; siblings, Ed, Irene, Johnny, Milbert, Walter, Floyd and Bobby; granddaughter, Roxanna; son-in-law, Michael Rakow.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Jenne, Cheryl (Richard) Novak, Michael (Sherry) Trego, Leslie Trego, Denise Rakow and Kimberley Trego; sister, Lillian Farnsworth; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, Minneapolis on March 16, 2026, from 11:00 am with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis following the service.
