To me, Denise WAS Focus Financial. I remember the day I walked into the corporate office for my first interview, almost 10 years ago, and was greeted by Denise. She immediately eased my nerves, and made me feel welcome.

Over the years, Denise became one of my biggest cheerleaders, closest friends at the office, and honestly - like a second mother to me. She never forgot a birthday, and always welcomed my daughter onto her lap at the front desk... pulling out stamps, paper, and highlighters - everything kiddos love in an office.

Denise’s passion for animals and children extended around the globe with her mission trips. Her commitment to her professional career was beyond expectation. Her kind heart will be remembered forever, and I am honored to have been a part of her life.

David and Brian - my deepest condolences.

Denise was always the friendly face to greet me in our firm's headquarters. Every time I'd visit the office for a meeting, Denise and I would chat on an array of topics. One recent memory, my last interaction with Denise, was sharing with her that I was going to be a new father. This elicited a flood of funny, sweet, and happy stories of her experience with raising her children. It was a wonderful exchange between colleagues that highlighted what mattered to her most as she lit up more in that conversation than any other we had over the years. I'm so glad to have that memory.

I joined FFN in 2013 and had countless interactions with Denise over the years. While I'm sad to hear of her passing, I'm happy to see here how much she impacted those around her in a positive way. The world may seem worse off with her gone but I believe it's made better by the ripple effect she left behind with her actions for all she cared about.

I am so sorry to hear of Denise's death. I knew her through my cousin Mike. We weren't in touch a lot but always sent one another greetings at Christmas. I will miss that. Peace and love to her family and friends.

David and Brian,

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your mom. The world won't be the same without her in it. She was such a loving and giving person. I'm glad to have had her in my life.

I decided to pretend she retired and bought a place in Mexico, like we often talked about. ;)

I wish you peace in the many wonderful memories of her during this very difficult time.

With deepest sympathy,
Shelly Groshens (FFN)

Denise was my very first childhood friend. In fact, she is responsible for me being here. Denise was born early, so tiny they had to buy doll clothes for her at first. She and her mom stayed with my parents for a while. My parents had tried for years to have a baby and with Denise in the house I was soon on the way and born 11 months later.
I will miss her wonderful giggly laugh. She had such a big heart, always helping others. She loved children and animals, and her mission work overseas.
Rest in Peace, Denise. You worked so hard all your life and it is your time to rest now. Watch over us as we navigate through the next years. Sending you a great big hug,
--Judy

I have no words... Denise was a sweet girl that was not only my friend, but my sister. She was kind and compassionate and never let an animal go without love and attention.
I will miss you my friend, but I take comfort that you and our Mom's are now able to have a cup of coffee together. Always in my heart.
Sleep well. I love you, Sandy

I met Denise in the Fall of 2011 at a Griefshare meeting at Maranatha Church. We had both lost someone close to us in August 2011. Complete strangers when we met but over those weekly meetings our friendship grew and we both started to heal from our losses. I will always remember Denise’s smile, the joy she had in her heart, her friendship, how encouraging she always was to me, her love for Jesus and her love for her son Brian that she talked about all the time. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again in Heaven. ❤️🙏🏼😇
