Your dad was a good friend and colleague to my father and highly regarded in the household in which I grew up.  I got to know your dad the summer we'd both visit my father in the hospital and I know you and your family will miss him.  A kind, decent man.

My thoughts are with you.  I know that you and your dad were quite a pair on the restaurant scene.  He was a very special man!  I'm sure he was proud of you and your talent and creativity.

Many fond memories going back to visits with Grandma and Grandpa and holiday's and special occassions. We will miss our time of reminiscing.

I had the honor of student teaching with Doug at Turtle Lake back in 1962. He remained a good friend these past 42 years. I also had the pleasure of being a fishing partner with him in the same boat on our annual end of the year fishing trips. Lots of fond memories.

What a privilage it was to be Uncle Doug and Aunt Sophia God-Child.  They were always caring, kind and generous.  Many wonderful memories were created during our many family gatherings.  Uncle Doug was an amazing person and has left a huge imprint on my life and my families.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Larry, I and Myrtle have had so many enjoyable dinners together. We loved hearing stories of being at Lake Johanna. Your dad had such a sharp memory. I thought it was so funny when he said how much he got paid for his first paycheck! What a guy!!

Mr. Sautbine is remembered fondly by former Bel Air students.

I'll always remember hi s kind smile and greeting each morning at the top of the ramp at Bel Air!  He was always so personable!  I believe I was in 4th grade when he retired, and the whole grade sang "Goodbye, Mr. Sautbine," to the tune of "Hello, Dolly."  I'll miss him!

Doug was a wonderful neighbor and friend. He will be missed...

Doug Sautbine was the principal the first few years I taught at Bel Air.  He was a wonderful person and a good friend.

Uncle Doug was a great man who touch many lives. We have many wonderful memories, he will be missed.

What a fantastic person..I was honored to have known and worked with him.
